The Limberger family offers you a spectacular musical feast with a melting pot of swing, virtuosity and gypsy passion. Cymbal, three guitars, violin and double bass are the ingredients of a menu, full of surprises. Different styles of gipsy music, jazz and swing are on the program, with music that comes straight from the heart

Piotto Limberger formed sixty years ago The Piotto’s, together with his brother Latcheben Grünholz and his cousin Baboula Ferret. For a long time, they travelled from one village to another, playing their own kind of jazz on squares and in folk pubs. Mainly music by Django Reinhardt, as Piotto used to be part of Django’s gang earlier on.

Giani Lincan was initiated with the secrets of the cimbalom by his grandfather at the young age of five. In his younger years he intensively studied with the renowned cimbalom teachers Mitica Ciuciu Marinescu and Toni Iordache. In 1989 he graduated at the music academy George Enescu in Bucharest/Romania. He gained important practical experience by playing with different ensembles and orchestras, which has made him a very experienced and disciplined musician. In 1996 he decided to explore a different audience and moved to the Netherlands. His fame was enhanced internationally and he earned respect among elite musicians of Western and Eastern Europe.
Giani is not just an extraordinary virtuoso, but a magician with a unique technique and his own style upsets more than one. It’s a rare musician who can play Classical music, Jazz and naturally his own Romanian folk idiom with as much energy and technical qualities, he redefines every genre with his cimbalom.
