Les Doigts de l'Homme
Olivier Kikteff (guitar, vocals, oud, banjo and cajon), Tanguy Blum (double bass, bass), Yannick Alcocer (guitar, charango and cajon) and Benoit Convert (guitar).
This famous French quartet (originally born as a trio for the album “Dans le Monde”) is inspired by gipsy jazz, but is open to all good music. They released in 2004 “Gipsy Jazz Nucléaire” and their second album “Les Doigts de l’Homme” in 2005. The original mixture of jazz and gipsy rock stands for pure energy, but with a very authentic tone. They even got into chanson with severe lyrics, painting the unbearable lightness of today’s society. We were delighted to have them at Djangofolllies 2007 and in 2008 at Brosella Folk & Jazz to present their third break trough album “Les Doigts dans la prise”.

Their fourth album “1910” is a tribute to the man who inspired it all: Django Reinhardt. The band recorded his compositions with new and very personal arrangements, to honour this 100th birthday. The desire to return to the essence of gipsy music was their main motivation.

The band will present at Djangofolllies 2012 its latest project: “100% Doigts de l'Homme!,” a “best of” selection of the four albums: energetic, creative, passionate and unique…
