Gypsy Jazz band ‘The Ghost Notes’ was formed in Greece in late 2012 by guitarist Jim Politis. They play traditional Gypsy Jazz tunes, Django Reinhardt pieces, swing covers of pop/rock songs, and original compositions that present a modern approach to Gypsy Jazz. The Ghost Notes' debut album ‘Jazzy-Key’ was released in April 2013 and included original Gypsy Jazz compositions and Django Reinhardt covers.

Following the release of their first album, and numerous concerts in Greece, the band had their first European tour in May 2013, playing live in Greece, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK. The band also appeared live at the European Music Day Festival in Greece (June 2013), Athens Djangofest Festival (October 2013), Patras International Festival/Djangofest (2014), Thessaloniki Djangofest Festival (2014), and have been featured in the 2013 summer issue of ‘B.M.G. Magazine’ – the oldest fretted instrument publication in the world, founded in England in 1903.During their 2nd European Tour (May/June 2014) they performed at several festivals in 8 countries among which the Hungarian National Museum Festival in Budapest, the Brussels Jazz Marathon, the JekerJazz Festival in Maastricht and the Newcastle-Under-Lyme Jazz & Blues Festival.

Their second Album, ‘Secrets Of A Memory’, was released in February 2015 by Hitchtone Music & Promotion. Their 3rd European Tour (February/March 2015) included 13 performances in Athens, Florence, Zagreb, Munich, Brussels, London, Birmingham, Cardiff, and Liverpool. Ghost Notes' first performance of their third European Tour (in Athens) featured the extraordinary Gypsy Jazz guitarist Stochelo Rosenberg of The Rosenberg Trio, and a performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The Ghost Notes are currently gigging and recording their third album. Should you wish to check out the high quality of the band for yourself, just look at the YouTube links underneath and prepare to be amazed! Jim Politis solo Jim Politis solo The Ghost Notes met Rosenberg
